finding inspiration is difficult...
Helloooo
We've all been there – waiting for that elusive spark of inspiration to strike before we dive into our creative endeavours.
But what if I told you that you don't have to wait for inspiration to come knocking?
What if, instead of waiting for inspiration to write, you wrote to feel inspired?
Think about it for a moment.
Do you think old Leo Davinci or C. Darwin waited for inspiration?
But before we get into it… a quick quote you can tell people to impress them.
"You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream."
How many times have you put off pursuing your passions or tackling your goals because you weren't feeling inspired?
Maybe you've told yourself that you'll start that book when the muse strikes or that you'll take up painting when inspiration strikes.
But here's the thing and don’t hate me for it…
Inspiration isn't some mystical force that descends upon us from the heavens.
It's something we cultivate within ourselves through action and intention.
So, let's flip the script on inspiration and embrace a new mindset.
Instead of waiting for inspiration to find you, actively seek it out by engaging in the creative process.
If you like
Writing…write
Painting…paint.
Dancing…dance.
Want to create a master welding piece….weld.
And in the art of creating… inspiration will hit you like Tokyo’s bullet train…
Fast and hard.
(I used this as me and my partner watched the film, it was incredible…just chaos)
Now, get your journal open your notes on your iPhone (whatever androids equivalent is)
And let's dive into the 4-3-2-1 formula and explore how we can cultivate inspiration into your lives:
4 Journal Prompts to Spark Inspiration:
1. What activities or experiences make me feel most alive and inspired?
2. When was the last time I felt truly inspired, and what can I learn from that experience?
3. How can I infuse more creativity and passion into my daily routines and responsibilities?
4. What fears or limiting beliefs are holding me back from embracing my creative potential, and how can I overcome them?
3 Questions to Unleash Creativity:
1. What new creative projects or endeavours am I excited to explore?
2. How can I cultivate a mindset of curiosity and experimentation in my creative pursuits?
3. Who are the people or mentors who inspire me, and how can I learn from their journeys and experiences?
2 Affirmations to Ignite Inspiration:
1. "I am full of creative and inspiring energy, ready to unleash my unique gifts upon the world."
2. "I trust in my creative process and know that inspiration flows freely when I show up and put pen to paper, brush to canvas, feet to dance floor, or welder to metal."
1 Mind-Blowing Fact on Inspiration:
Did you know that according to a study published in the Journal of Experimental Social Psychology
Individuals who actively engage in creative activities experience higher levels of positive emotions, lower levels of stress, and greater overall well-being.
By embracing creativity as a pathway to inspiration, we can unlock a world of joy, fulfillment, and endless possibilities.
So, my friend, let's flip the script on inspiration and start writing, painting, dancing, and creating our way to a life filled with passion, purpose, and inspiration.
