The P.V.C Breakdown - The Why - SCIENCE STUFF YAY - Perspective Changer - Affirmation |

Quotes for your mid-week recharge…
"Life is 10% what happens to us and 90% how we react to it”
“Amid winter, I found there was, within me, an invincible summer”
Section 1: The Why
Do you ever notice how some people seem to radiate positivity no matter what life throws their way?
It's not luck or magic
But a conscious choice they make every single day.
See, here's the secret:
While it is almost impossible to control our external circumstances,
We can control how we react to them.
By choosing positivity, we reclaim our power and refuse to let negativity rain on our parade.
By choosing positivity, I dont mean to say to ignore your feelings and bury them.
That would be incredibly unhealthy…
Imagine this
You are at a pub with your family, loving life.
High vibrations everywhere.
It is lit.
Then someone from a different group of people close to you, says something incredibly obnoxious, rude, and completely against your values.
Of course it’s going to make you want to put them in their place.
Who wouldn’t?
But what do you gain from engaging with that individual?
Nothing…
You have to lower your vibration to theirs. (Which is exhausting by the way 100/10 recommend not doing)
You raise your voice and create an argument and you feel good for around 10 seconds.
As the adrenaline runs through your body.
Then what happens.
Your mood has been ruined. completely.
Affecting everyone around you.
And ruining everyone’s day.
This person is an example of the 10% you cannot control.
What if, you simply said.
“Excuse me, I appreciate you have your own opinions and I respect that. but would you be against not saying that near my children”
This scenario would be completely different.
One the person would be ashamed that they have said what they have said.
They won’t be mad at you because you didn’t raise your voice.
You have respected their opinion, and spoke to them as an equal.
The only thing that I can imagine they would say is
“I apologise, I won’t say that, I have kids myself, thankyou for being courteous about it”
To me that is a positive outcome from a negative situation.
The way you reacted and conducted yourself was the other 90%.
The best part is….
You haven’t lowered your vibration, and you haven’t let it ruin your day with your awesome family.
And you maintain a high
As you feel proud of yourself for approaching them like that.
That wasn’t luck or magic.
That was a conscious choice on your half.
Section 2: The SCIENCE-Y STUFF.
Let's geek out for a moment, shall we?
Neuroscience research has shown that your brain is wired to focus on the negative.
It's a survival mechanism left over from your caveman days.
Going back to the scenario above.
That is your inner caveman brain seeing them as a threat and wanting to tell them what is what.
But instead of grabbing your spear.
You grab a more lethal weapon…
Your voice.
But here's where it gets interesting
You also have the power to rewire your brain
Through intentional practices like gratitude, mindfulness, and positive affirmations.
By training your brain to seek out the good
You change the way you perceive the world around you.
Here's the scoop:
When you choose positivity
You aren’t just ignoring the negatives.
You’re rewiring your brain to see the world in a new light.
Neuroscience research has shown that practicing gratitude can increase the production of feel-good neurotransmitters
Like dopamine and serotonin. Translation?
Choosing positivity literally makes you happier.
Not only that
Studies have also found that adopting a positive mindset can boost resilience, improve relationships, and even enhance physical health.
In the words of PINK, “it’s just like a pill”
The difference is this one works and you don't need a prescription.
Section 3: Your Perspective Changer
WE have done this one before but I really want you to do it after reading todays email.
A gratitude journal/ notes on your phone/ laptop what ever you have.
Each day, take a few minutes to jot down these three things…
Something you are grateful for.
Something that you can maybe improve on.
Something that went WAY better than you imagined.
They can be big or small, silly or serious.
The key is to focus on the good stuff.
Trust me, you'll be amazed at how this simple practice can shift your perspective and fill your life with positivity.
Section 4: Your Mid-Week Affirmation
"I respond to life's challenges with grace and resilience, knowing that my attitude shapes my reality."
Remember 10% of life is what happens to you, the other 90% is how you react.
Choose Positive, Choose Confident, Choose You.
