Life will never be perfect...
But there will always be something to be grateful for
We often get so caught up in chasing what we don’t have—more money, a bigger house, a better job—that we forget to appreciate what’s right in front of us. (and I get it, there is so much money out there)
The truth is, even though we may not have everything we want yet.
We have more than we realize.
And one of the most overlooked blessings? A body that works. (how often do you actually think, oh shit i can do anything.)
Think about it: the ability to walk, breathe, think, move.
How often do we take our health for granted until something goes wrong?
There are people around the world who dream of what you might consider "ordinary."
A warm bed, a steady job, family dinners, and, most importantly, a body that allows you to experience the world.
Imagine how different your life would be if you suddenly couldn’t walk, or see, or speak.
We rarely take a moment to consider how precious those abilities are—until we meet someone who has lost them.
So instead of focusing on what’s missing, let’s be grateful for what we have: the roof over our heads, the family who loves us, and our health.
These are things we shouldn’t want to trade for anything.
This week’s 4-3-2-1 is designed to help you tap into gratitude for the little things in life that make a huge difference.
As you reflect on the prompts, you’ll realise how rich you already are, even if you don’t have everything you want just yet.
In Today’s 4-3-2-1:
4 prompts :1 about your past, 2 about present and now, 1 about your future.
3 questions to spark creativity in a world that doesn’t encourage it.
2 affirmations for the week.
1 tool to help with today’s topic.
"“Life is never going to be perfect... but there will always be something to be grateful for... you just gotta choose to look.”
4 Journal Prompts:
Think back to a moment when you were grateful for something small, like a good conversation, a quiet evening, or a peaceful walk.
How did that moment change your perspective, even if just for a little while?
Example: You might remember sitting outside with a cup of coffee, feeling content with just the sound of nature around you.Reflect on your body and its capabilities.
What is something you can do effortlessly—walking, speaking, holding a loved one’s hand—that you often take for granted?
Example: Consider how easily you move through your day, and think about how different your life would be if your mobility were limited. How has your job, even if it’s not your dream job, provided stability in your life?
What are the hidden blessings of having a steady income, and how has it supported your day-to-day life?
Example: Even if you don’t love what you do, think about the security and freedom it gives you to provide for your family and pursue hobbies. In the future, how will you continue to appreciate the little things, even as you work toward your bigger goals?
How can you make space for gratitude in your everyday life?
Example: Maybe you’ll start keeping a gratitude journal, where each day you write down one thing you’re thankful for.
3 Questions to Unleash Creativity:
How can you transform your daily routine into something you appreciate rather than endure?
Example: Instead of seeing your morning commute as a burden, could it become a time to listen to music or a podcast that inspires you? What if you started seeing your home—no matter how big or small—as your personal sanctuary?
Example: What changes could you make to turn your space into a reflection of what you’re grateful for? Maybe it’s adding more family photos or creating a cozy reading nook. How can you show appreciation for the people in your life today?
Example: Send a message to a friend or family member letting them know you’re grateful for them. You’ll spread positivity and deepen your relationships.
2 Affirmations:
"I am grateful for the simple things in my life that bring me joy and comfort."
"My health and well-being are gifts that I appreciate every single day."
