Overcoming mental barriers
it isnt easy for a reason...
People are so quick to tell you how to do something, when to do it and what to do.
You have to workout.
You have to build mental resilience.
Which is true ofc you do. But what I’ve found in my experience, nobody tells you how hard its going to be.
The reality of it is, this shit takes time. it always has.
So you can soon find yourself full of doubt, and asking is it worth it?
Like working out is hard for someone who isnt used to TAKING the time to do it.
It isnt as simple as slapping on some lycra or gym shorts and going to the gym.
The truth is most people who want to lose weight have such low self esteem and confidence, it is like jumping in a pool when you dont know how to swim.
Sure when you manage to get to the gym it is nowhere near as bad as your mind has you thinking.
But its getting there.
And i wish i could say its as easy as saying “MaN Up aNd GEt oN WiTh IT”
But F%#k that noise.
So here is how you can start your journey of self confidence and health.
Set 3 micro goals, for example i try and do 100 pushups and 100 situps a day.
(I am currently in pain with my shoulder and back, so i have had to stop this week and im starting to feel the mental side affects of it… they arent good)
Set your goals to your experience level, not too crazy but just enough to make you uncomfortable.
When you complete it, take note of how you feel.
IT will be somewhere between excitement and pride.
It is a little bit like learning to swim, you start in the shallow end and work your way up to the deep end.
Once you get used to completing your goals, go ahead and add more reps, do different exercises.

Fun fact: A day on Venus is longer than a year – Venus has a very slow axis rotation, taking about 243 Earth days to complete one rotation, but only about 225 Earth days to complete one orbit around the sun.
