I pressed pause on Saturday...here is why..?

Not because it was the weekend...

HAPPY SUNDAY!!

Let's talk about something that's often overlooked…

But oh-so-important…

Balance.

We're all hustling and grinding toward our goals, chasing that dream like a G.

But here's the thing – sometimes, it's okay to hit the pause button and give ourselves permission to take a breather.

But Rob, then i am lazy and not driven…. nahh mate you are more committed than ever.

How do you expect to create magic, if you are unbalanced, tired and your body is saying “hey man, just chill”

I gave myself permission to do this yesterday

(I usually write this on Saturday)

But I woke up, did my squats and pushups, and i asked god in the shower.

Plant my feet where you want them planted, plant my mind where you want it planted.

And I got out, went upstairs and had this overwhelming urge… to just rest.

So that is exactly what I did. I Played Borderlands 2 with Sarah (love of my life)

And sat in the sun in the afternoon, then helped Tim build the new cat station.

(and by help I mean hindered)

But I took a rest because I knew I needed it.

I knew I wouldn’t be able to produce the quality I wanted.

So I simply took the day to rebalance.

I have used this quote before but imma use it again.

Because once you truly accept this… your life changes.

From job interviews, friends, clients, and partners.

To the little things like losing a board game.

This could be as little as doing…

  • Situps before your morning shower.

  • Have a glass of water before that blessed morning coffee.

  • Take 5 minutes to meditate, be present, and focus on everything you have.

3. How can I reframe my mindset around relaxation to see it is an essential part of the journey to success?

Success isn’t just monetary, and external things… When you have achieved ‘X’ you will be worth ‘Y’

It is happiness, self-love, self-worth, and relationships with your loved ones.

Not missing that football match, because you had a project to finish, or pick up an extra shift.

What is the point in building an empire if you have no one to share it with?

In my eyes, there isn’t. But that is just me.
