🦗 Are you struggling with negative thoughts..?

Negativity sucks, am I right..?

Do you struggle with seeing the positives in life too?

I get it,

When life throws us lemons, and instead of making lemonade we catch them with our face?

Well in this email, I want to share with you a small exercise I do, to stop the negative thoughts from beating my ass and leaving me in the dumps.

The thing is,

We see the negative because we are reacting fully with our emotions to a situation, and blaming ourselves for the outcome.

Which SPOILER ALERT… isn’t true.

You are an awesome individual. You smash the day, and I want you to start feeling this way.

If you wake up tired (yes I know it sucks)

Still, give that day your all, then identify why you are and ask yourself,

Did I hit the hay early enough?

Did I stop watching that series on Netflix when I should have?

Did I take time to meditate and chill? (My personal favourite)

Be purposeful in your habits.

Taking accountability for a situation is VERY different from Blaming yourself for an outcome.

If you tried everything you could?

Then celebrate that, and say to yourself “You know what I tried my best and I was true to myself”

If you know you could’ve done more, then that is the lesson for next time, don’t dwell on it and let the negative thoughts beat your ass.

You can achieve anything you like and want from life.

You have to put in the work, but when you do, negativity struggles to keep up.

A little thing I do to stop the negative thoughts,

I simply say ”NO NOT TODAY”.

In the words of Ice Cube, “Today is gonna be a good day”

Lost that client? - maybe you weren’t a match, the value you added wasn’t the stuff they were looking for. Lesson learned, someone else will want you. This does not affect your personal value.

Did that job offer slip through your fingers? Perhaps it’s a sign from the universe that something else MEANT for you is just around the corner.

Did you let your emotions get a little crazy? Well, guess what you have just identified that…and that alone, is a F*%#@ win

This is a quote I love.

“What is meant for me, shall never escape me.”

The Bible.

If you honestly believe that at your core, and in your heart.

Honestly, you feel a sense of profoundness I can’t even explain.

Now you are probably thinking “Great Robbo, but that doesn’t stop negativity”

You are right it doesn’t so here is a quick exercise to help with that…

DAILY REFLECTION (10 minutes)

Take 10 minutes to list 3 challenges that you faced this week…

  1.

Instead of dwelling on the negatives of what happened, BRAINSTORM a positive outcome from each.

Here is to learning to see the best in every day.

See you next week, same time work for you?
